Unfortunately, schools don’t always have the resources to provide kids the support they need, and kids get disconnected. They can get lost in the system. This is especially true for students who need different or extra services and resources to learn in the form of “special education.”  While there are laws that can help a child stay in school and get a quality education, sadly, it is often up to advocates and families to push schools to follow those laws. That’s why we wanted to prioritize the creation of a special education toolkit so that parents and advocates know the laws and how to use them to hold schools accountable and ensure each child receives the education they deserve. Our special education toolkit is designed to guide this specific kind of advocacy in schools so that all children can learn and grow.
