Support and Empower Each Other and our Families
No one understands what it's like to struggle with a child who is locked up or in danger of getting locked up better than parents who have been through it themselves. FFLIC members offer support, advice and assistance to individuals and families who are nagivating the system and searching for help for their children. Each Chapter holds a monthly meeting, so please come out and get the support you need.
Lake Charles Chapter Meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Lake Charles office.

Educate Ourselves and our Communities
FFLIC is developing workshops, guidebooks and materials to get the word out to everyone in our communities about the movement for real justice for our children, Some trainings will include:
Advocating for Your Incarcerated Child
Making your Voice Heard (a legislative advocacy training)
Visioning the Alernative (creating alternatives to incarceration)

FFLIC's Annual Membership Meeting
Every year FFLIC holds a state-wide membership meeting, where all the members across the state can gather at one time in one place to share what's going on in their communities and plan strategies for the upcoming year. This year the meeting and holiday celebration will be held:
